CHANTÉES DE NOËL- 16 Nov.: Vevey - 7 Déc.: Saint-Prex - 24 Déc.: Saint-Maurice
Cette vielle tradition romande est belle, et particulièrement bienvenue dans le temps de Noël: non pas simplement aller écouter des chants de Noël, mais aussi pouvoir les chanter soi-même. On vous en a trouvé trois:
le 16 novembre à Vevey, à l'église Saint-Martin, avec le Choeur de la Basilique du Valentin de Lausanne: Pascal Pilloud, son directeur, propose au public de se joindre au choeur dans des Chorals de Bach. Tout est prévu pour que le public se sente à l'aise et puisse suivre.

A Saint-Prex, un choeur d'enfants traditionnel, fondé en 2005 et comprenant 38 voix travaillées, auxquelles s'ajoutent pour l'occasion un orchestre de musiciens professionnels, présentera un concert de Noël où le public pourra se joindre aux airs de Noël connus.

 Enfin, à la veille de Noël, les chanoines de Saint-Maurice (juste à l'entrée du Valais) invitent le public à se joindre à eux et au Choeur de l'Abbaye pour une chantée à 15:00.

MUSEUM OF COMMUNICATION -BERNE
Berne is really not far away: about 50 minutes from Lausanne by the highway (via Yverdon or via Fribourg: same time whichever highway you take). But do take the one over Fribourg, because you will have the wonderful views over the lake and the entrance of Valais, quite unforgettable, and changing every day. Whereas if you take the one over Yverdon, it's just fields and slow tunnels: not beautiful.
Berne has a nice zoo http://www.tierpark-bern.ch/, an good saturday market in the charming old town-center, a really well-done natural history museum: http://www.nmbe.ch/, a very interesting alpine museum http://www.alpinesmuseum.ch/en, as well as very good antiquaries and shops in the old town. But the museum you would probably not expect is a a Communication Museum. It explains a lot about human communication in all possible ways, and offers many experiments. A good outing for the whole family.
